Instructions for use of the thermometer

Press the on/off button. The display will read 88.8°E and a beep sound will be heard. This means the thermometer is working properly.

Upon releasing the on/ off button, the last measured temperature will be showed for about two seconds, then L °C is displayed. If the room temperature is greater than 32°C, the true temperature will be displayed. The flashing °C means the thermometer is ready to take a temperature.

When the peak temperature has been reached and the temperature stabilizes, the °C sign on the display stops flashing and the alarm will sound, indicating that the temperature is ready to be read. "Bi-Bi-Bi" if it is lower than 37.5°C; or "Bi-Bi-Bi--Bi-Bi-Bi" if the temperature exceeds 37.5°C. Remove the thermometer from the mouth and read the temperature on the display. In auxiliary use, ignore the completion beeps and leave the thermometer in place for a full four minutes.

The unit will automatically turn off in 10 minutes. However, to prolong the life of the battery it is best to turn it off once the temperature has been taken.

Precautions

Do not drop the unit.

DO NOT BOIL THE UNIT. Instead, clean the unit by wiping it with a dry cloth and sterilize it with ethyl alcohol.

Do not allow the unit to come into contact with any thinners or chemical solvents.

Do not store the unit in direct sunlight or at high temperatures.

Do not bend the probe more than 45° as damage may occur.

Do not attempt to disassemble the unit.

Keep out of reach of children.

Battery life

The battery can be used for 200 hours of continuous operation (approximately 2 years if used 10 minutes every day).

Accuracy

Thermometer is accurate to 0.1°C between 35°C to 38°C, 0.2°C between 32°C to 35°C and 38°C to 42.9°C.

Temperature range

Measurements can be taken between 32.0°C to 42.9°C. If the temperature is lower than the minimum, an “L” is displayed. If the temperature is higher than the maximum, an “H” is displayed.

Limited Warranty

This thermometer is guaranteed for 90 days from the date of purchase against manufacturer’s defects under normal use. If your unit does not function properly due to defective parts or assembly, we will repair it free of charge. All parts are covered by this warranty excluding the battery. The warranty does not cover damage to the unit due to manhandling of the unit and the resulting structural damage resulting in a defective unit.
